Maybe I’m weird but I love going to my dentist’s office! Everyone, and I mean everyone, is kind, friendly and knowledgeable. I have fun, get all my questions answered and learn lots about how connected my dental health is to my entire well being. Super folks who care and enjoy their work. Frequently Asked Questions, Answered!

At Pioneer Greens Dentistry, we proudly offer comprehensive dental services to ensure you receive the care you need for a healthy smile. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our office for the information you need. While a phone call is the most direct way to reach us, we understand that everyone’s schedule is different, and some prefer to do their research at home. For your convenience, we've decided to answer some of the most commonly asked questions we receive from patients in Lincoln.

How Do I Get Emergency Dental Care?

If you need emergency dental care, call our office immediately. Our team will guide you on the next steps to ensure you receive the necessary care. For severe situations, such as a dislocated jaw or difficulty breathing, call 911 right away.

Local emergency rooms may not handle specific dental issues, but they can minimize discomfort and provide antibiotics. Once you visit our emergency dentist, we’ll strive to offer same-day treatment. If you have any concerns or suspect a dental emergency, contact us immediately. We’re here to help!

How Do I Find the Best Place to Get Dental Work Done?

Finding the best dental office depends on your priorities. Consider the following factors:

  • Location and Hour – Choose a conveniently located office with hours that fit your schedule.
  • Insurance/Payment and Fees – Ensure the practice accepts your insurance or offers suitable payment plans.
  • Safety and Cleanliness – The office should maintain high standards of hygiene.
  • Services Offered – Identify the type of dental work you need (i.e., preventive, cosmetic, or restorative) and choose a dentist who provides these services.
  • Patient Care – Look for a team that prioritizes patient care and offers personalized treatment plans.

Our team focuses on your smile goals and will develop a treatment plan that best fits your needs, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience.

What Do You Do If You Can’t Afford a Dentist?

Even if you’re concerned about costs, it’s crucial to continue scheduling checkups and cleanings. Ignoring dental issues can lead to more severe problems that require more time and money to fix.

To save money, choose a dentist in-network with your provider. Our practice accepts many insurance plans, including Delta Dental Premier and BlueCross BlueShield. We also offer CareCredit financing and an in-house membership plan to help manage out-of-pocket expenses.

What Type of Education Do Dentists Have?

In the United States, aspiring dentists must earn a bachelor’s degree and attend an accredited dental school to obtain a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) or a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree. Dental school typically takes at least three years and includes classroom instruction and hands-on training.

Dentists who wish to specialize in one of the 12 specializations recognized by the American Dental Association (ADA) must undergo an additional three years of training. To maintain licensure, all dentists must complete a certain number of continuing education hours annually, ensuring they stay up to date with the latest advancements in dental care.

Conveniently Located Near You

You’ll find our dental office just south of Pioneers Boulevard on S 86th Street, across from St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. We’re not far from the Firethorn Golf Club as well. Whether you’re coming from The Preserve, Edenton North, Fox Hollow, or the many other neighborhoods nearby, we look forward to welcoming you in for a great appointment.
